How Should You Use Hydroquinone Topical?

- If you accidentally get any of the cream in the areas listed above, rinse with water. If it gets in the eyes then seek medical attention.

What should I avoid while using hydroquinone topical?
If you plan on using this product, you need to stay away from being exposed to artificial UV rays and sunlight. If you have hydroquinone on and are exposed, then the skin may darken. It is good to use a sunscreen that has a SPF 15 or higher. You should also wear clothing that can protect you from the rays of the sun. You should not use this product on skin that is sunburned, windburned, dry, chapped or irritated. It should also not be used on an open wound. If you have any of these conditions, then you should wait until they are healed before you apply the hydroquinone topical.
You should also try and not use this product in the same place at the same time with other topical products.Use caution and talk to your doctor before using hydroquinone topical if you are also using other topical products with a strong drying effect on the skin, products with high concentrations of alcohol, astringents, spices or lime, or other preparations or processes that may dry or irritate the skin.

If you plan on using hydroquinone topical, then you need to speak with your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease. If you use other topical medications or have allergic reactions to medication then you should also speak with your doctor. You may not be able to use hydroquinone topical, or you may require a dosage adjustment or special monitoring during treatment.

Will Other Types of Drugs Affect Hydroquinone?
If you are planning on using hydroquinone topical then you need to ensure that you do not take it with benzoyl peroxide, hydrogen peroxide and many other types of peroxide products. If you somehow use these products together, then a temporary dark staining of the skin may occur. If you somehow use hydroquinone topical with products that include peroxide, then you need to wash your skin with soap and water, before staining sets in.
If you have to use other topical products at the same time, then consult with your doctor what is the best method. You should avoid using these products together.
